The culture of Puebla state, which is located east of the capital of Mexico is the result of a long process of miscegenation that began in the colonial era and continues today. The heritage of the state consists of tangible and intangible works, some of which are considered World Heritage. People and culture are linked in the Mexican context with its gastronomic tradition, the religiosity of its people and the Chinese Puebla. However, Puebla also is a mosaic of cultures, where the legacy of New Spain is mixed with the remains of ancient cultures and the presence of many indigenous peoples that shape the identity of all of the poblanos, identity that are involved in important historical events Mexican history as the Battle of Puebla.
